Spent part of the weekend on a family trip at a wildlife park situated in a quaint little area up in the mountains.
I wasn’t exactly looking forward to a boring 3 hour drive to the middle of nowhere, but it turned out surprisingly enjoyable and I got to see things I don’t normally see on a daily basis.

Got to see some interesting animals..
… the lynxes being my favorite of them all.
And then there were those I really didn’t care for.
The billy goats were everywhere. -_- They were pretty much the only animals that could roam freely.
And then there were these big hairy intimidating looking bovines which I’m pretty sure were yaks.
Gorgeous white foxes which you could hardly see through the snow.
They were so tiny and adorable!
Unhealthy days..
Mine is today, indulgent and undisciplined. Not a very pivotal moment of my week, but I’m happy nonetheless. (:

Fettish: Retro animated films with amazing illustrations and passé graphics
Peeves: Safari. My disorganized computer files. Certain people’s immodesty and lack of class.
Hungry for: Ballerina kjeks
Anticipating: Favorite mexican restaurant tomorrow and hunting for my long sought after relics at the flea market
Weekend in pictures
Managed to get work done at the embassy early Friday morning (and not only then but also in the beginning of the week and the end as well. #proudofmyself)
Stopped by the loveliest pâtisserie, Pascal’s
And of course bought some macaroons (or little colored “krabby patties” as my brother calls them) as a reward to myself
And later enjoyed them with this sauvignon blanc wine, discovered by my sister. A must try. They fit each other exquisitely, both superiorly rich and sweet; and not to mention, a little too much for me to handle.
For dinner: perfectly prepared mussels
Woke up early saturday morning, had some coffee at the park
Its actually really quite serene in Oslo in the morning when no one is around except people working in cafes setting up for the long day ahead.
Went to a huge street sale shopping event… which started off delightfully
But ended in a rather gruesome manner. People could barely walk down the street without being run over by crazy careless shoppers or ruthless Mom’s with strollers.
And I just realized how ugly those tram lines and electrical lines look amongst all the nicely carved buildings.
On the bright side, there was yummy, cheap food everywhere.
And street food which is really nice to see since its really not a normal around here
Sunday was spent in the company of horrid weather and movies - all day; so nothing really interesting with that. I did however, discover my 9 year old little sister’s hidden jar of peanut butter with “Don’t Touch.” written all over it… which is not odd (or glutinous) at all.
But to sum it all up, my weekend was pretty damn sweet & lovely like this little eatery I happened to come across on Saturday.
Hormones are out of control, as is my desk.
Clearly, I’ve been super unstructured and lazy lately. AND IT MUST STOP.
And I really should be exercising and what not. But at least I’m drinking more water, thanks to my lovely new sports bottle. :D
Pretty ridiculous how I need a water bottle like this to get me to drink enough water, whatever though. (:
